At an event in New Delhi, Canon India has launched its nine LV and XEED series of projectors equipped with unmatched advanced technology. The series launched today are LV-WX300, LV-X300, LV-S300, LV-WX300ST, LV-X300ST and the XEED WUX450, XEED WX520, XEED WUX400ST and the XEED WX450ST. The new series of projectors are ranging from MRP 40,750 to MRP 5,00,000.

Canon has introduced its proprietary LCOS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology, which is used in XEED series, and which produces fine, detailed images without the lattice effect that is sometimes seen on other projectors. LCOS technology and constant brightness (between T-edge to W-edge at zoom) is unique to Canon meeting users’ needs in various situations.

The XEED-ST series incorporate a short-throw shift able lens which is capable of projecting a wide vertical range of approximately 75 % to 77 % in addition to a horizontal range of approximately 10 % and that makes possible effortless installation in a variety of medium-range usage environments, including classrooms and lecture halls.

The XEED series of  projectors are targeted at sectors like large corporate, education, medical and government. The XEED series of projectors can also be leveraged by the simulation industry.

Canon has also introduced path breaking eco-friendly features in its newly launched projectors, which include an enhanced lamp lighting system and a standby mode consuming only as low as 0.7W (In Network Off Mode) thereby significantly reducing CO2 emissions. These features add to environmental reservation as well as help in reducing running cost.

lv_s300__1429034177_46138LV Series is the portable range of projectors utilizing DLP BrilliantColor display technology to deliver rich, realistic color, 3000 lumens of brightness, a 2300:1 contrast ratio for pure black with depth and dimension and filter-free operation. The projector in the Eco mode lowers the cost of ownership and helps reduce power consumption by approximately 20 percent while also lowering fan noise. These new Canon projectors are also 3D-ready when combined with an optional DLP-Link System and other accessories.

Canon has signed Ingram Micro as the National Distributor for volume products and will tie-up with AV integrated solution providers for high-end projectors. Canon will also have channel partner incentive program based on the demos. Cannon India aims to capture 10% market share nationally by the year 2017 and achieve sales figure of Rs. 100 crores.
