Google is conducting an event in US today where the next generation of Nexus tablet and updated Jelly Bean 4.3 version will be unveiled. The Nexus 7 tablet is manufactured by Asus of Taiwan and the same company also made the earlier version of this tablet.
The new Nexus tablet has been listed on Best Buy US website for pre-order and its 16GB variant price is US$ 229.99.
As per various specualtions the new Nexus 7 inch tablet will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 2GB of RAM, and 1GB of internal storage. The display size will be the same 7 inches as the earlier Nexus 7, but its resolution could be 1920 x 1200 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 320 ppi. This 7″ 10-finger capacitive touch screen Nexus tablet will run the latest 4.3 Jelly Bean operating sytem. This tablet will be equipped with 5.0 megapixel rear-facing and 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera, Bluetooth 4.0, and come preloaded with the suite of Google tools and programs.
According to Taiwan based Digitimes, Asus had anticipated the release of a next-generation Nexus 7 in June, but Google pushed the release date back due to “concerns over first-generation Nexus 7 inventory.”
We are few hours away from the official event of Google to take place when we will come to know its exact specifications and when it will be available for shipment in US and in other markets.
