Sub-brand of Huawei, Honor has launched yet another smartphone in India today. This is Honor 8X and comes in three variants of 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM, 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM & 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM which are priced at Rs. 14999, 16999 and 18999, respectively. It comes in three colors of Blue, Black and Red. The blue and black color variant will go on sale from 24th October on Amazon.in.
On the specifications front, the Honor 8X flaunts a 6.5 inch (2340 x 1080) 19.5:9 Notched display with 91% screen-to-body ratio. According to Honor, the display has new generation of Eye Comfort mode certified by TüV Rheinland that protects your vision and prevents the eye fatigue by reducing the blue light radiation emitted by the screen. It is powered by new HiSilicon Kirin 710octa-core processor clocked up to 2.2GHz. This SoC is based on 12nm process technology. For graphics, this processor is mated withMali G51 MP4 with GPU Turbo technology. This phone comes with 4GB/6GB RAM with storage options of 64GB/128GB with support for up to 400GB microSD card slot. This phone is packed with 3,750 mAh battery.
For photography, this phone is armed with AI Rear and Front cameras. It has 20-megapixel (F/1.8 aperture) + 2-megapixel dual-lens rear-facing camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). According to Honor, the Artificial Intelligence incorporated in the camera can recognize over 500 scenarios in 22 categories and optimize settings and enhance photo quality based on what users are shooting. These cameras are claimed to produce good night shots without a tripod by using multi-frame stabilization technology based on machine learning. For selfies, this phone is equipped with 16MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
