It has become a tradition now in India to offer the new smartphones to e-commerce sites first for accepting pre-orders before they are launched officially by the device makers. Recently, we have seen that Nokia’s Limia 925 has appeared on e-commerce sites for pre-order and today Lumia 625 is up for pre-order.
Similarly, HTC One with Dual-SIM, which has not been officailly launched in India, is up for pre-order on the flipkart.com for Rs. 46,495. This smartphone will be available in silver color and will be despatched in approx. 10 business days. Similarly, Huawei P1 Ascend PI has also gone for pre-order on the same e-commece site for Rs. 12,490, and the delivery is promsied by third week of August.
The HTC One Dual-SIM features a 4.7-inch full HD display, and is powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It is packed with a 2300 mAh battery. Unlike the original HTC One, the Dual- SIM version has a microSD card slot to expand its memory up to 64GB.
The Huawei Ascend P is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. Surprisingly, it runs on old Android 4.0 ICS OS. The phone features a 4.3-inch super AMOLED touchscreen, and is equipped with an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. The screen of this smartphone is protected with Gorilla Glass. This smartphone has an internal memory of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The phone is packed with a 1800 mAh Li-Polymer battery.
As far as Huawei Ascend P1 is concerned, we are sceptical whether this smartphone can make a mark in Indian market at the price range of Rs 12K, keeping inview of the fact that in this range, one can have Samsung and Micromax range of smartphones, which are well-established in India.
