Huawei has taken long strides with the recent launches of its smartphones and its latest offering P9 is another device which can be in the league of other premium brands such as Samsung, LG, HTC etc. The Huawei P9 which was launched in India in the month of August for Rs. 39,999 is state of the art smartphone as far as its design, camera capability and its overall performance is concerned. In this article we would like to dwell on its two prominent features out of many.
The P9 is elegantly looking device and justifies the tag of premium phone. This phone has full metal unibody and edges of the phone are chamfered which enhances the beauty of it. This phone is made of an aerospace-class aluminum and superior-grade 2.5D glass. The back panel of the phone is soft and their are no chances of slippage from your hand. On the right side of the phone, their is textured power button and volume rockers are placed and SIM Tray sits on top of the left side. The speaker grill, USB Type-C port and earphone jack have been given at the bottom. This is one of the best looking phone seen recently by me and conveys design statement of Huawei.
The USP of P9 is its Dual-Camera set-up of Leica of Germany with f/2.2 aperture on the both lenses use 1.25-micron Sony IMX286 sensors. The RGB camera captures color, while the monochrome camera is for capturing black and white images of superior quality. The two rear cameras work in tandem to create images of superior detail, depth and color. It is very easy to shift from monochrome mode to normal mode. The camera of this phone comes with various features including three colour modes: Standard, Vivid Colors and Smooth Colors for using them as per the requirements of the environment and personal preference. Besides this, you can use various modes on this phone such as Panorama, Beauty, HDR, Night and Beauty etc. and for videos there are Slow-Motion and Time Lapse modes. To sum up, this phone has all the features which a mobile photographer would want and the images turn out to be sharp with lot of details and contrast.
