Infinix, smartphone brand from TRANSSION group, has been quite successful with its S5 and Hot series of smartphones in India in affordable segment. Their latest smartphone Infinix S5 Lite was launched last year in the month of November at Rs. 7999. The S5 Lite comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ screen with a punch-hole super cinema display with 20:9 aspect ratio, 16MP AI Triple Camera and 16MP selfie camera and 4000mAh battery.
Now we understand that Infinix is bringing its next smartphone Infinix S5 Pro with Pop-up selfie camera in under 10K price segment. This phone will challenge Honor 9X launched few days ago as it is expected to have almost same look and almost identical features. You may recall that Honor 9X was launched at Rs. 13,999 for the 4GB RAM with 128GB storage and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant at Rs. 16,999. The Honor 9X also has 16MP pop-up selfie camera and features a 6.59 inch Full HD+ 19.5:9 display.
At this stage, we are not aware about the detailed specifications of Infinix S5 Pro except that it will have pop-up selfie camera and will be a tough challenger to Honor 9X. If Infinix comes out with powerful features such as powerful triple rear cameras, sharp display and pop-up selfie camera of 16MP under Rs. 10,000 then it will be a difficult game for Honor to compete with Infinix.
Moreover, Honor has been quite low for considerable time in India and Infinix has been launching its smartphones at regular interval. It will not be possible for Honor to resurrect all of a sudden and compete with S5 Pro if the specifications of this still to be launched smartphone are close to Honor 9X.
