LG Optimus Vu Officially Launched In India For Rs. 34,500

LG India has launched it’s much anticipated phablet Optimus Vu with a price tag of Rs. 34,500.

Optimus Vu comes with a 5” inch (256 ppi) full touch screen IPS panel display with a vivid TFT panel. It comes with an immensely powerful 1.5 Ghz Nvidia Quad-Core processor and 1 GB RAM (though 2GB RAM would have made it even powerful device).

Making in-roads to market, Optimus Vu comes pre-loaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, though LG could have released it with refined form of ICS viz. version 4.0.2. Accompanying android is LG’s recently developed, very well received Optimus 3.0 UI which I must say gives you a near stock android experience.

For the camera savvy audience, LG has included a well-built 8 MP rear camera and 1.3 MP front camera for video calling. Standard LED flash accompanies the same and full HD video recording. Nothing extraordinary but fortunately the focus issue (constantly losing the focus) in Optimus 4X HD has been dealt with.

Another worthy specification is the inclusion of magnamous 32GB internal memory and 50GB free cloud storage at Box.net. All in all approx. 80GB of storage! This essentially eliminates the need to use any additional storage and/or deleting your older files to make space for new one 😉

Some other worthy features of Optimus Vu are:

  • 4:3 aspect ratio
  • Wi-Fi Direct
  • Bluetooth 4.0
  • 2080 mAh battery
  • LG NFC Tag+ (Near Field Technology)
  • Dolby Sound

LG Optimus Vu has been pushed in India market for a price tag of Rs. 34,500.
