As expected Meizu Technology of China has officially announced today the launch of its Meizu m1 note smartphone in India. This phone will be available from 2PM today exclusively on Amazon.in at Rs. 11,999. Meizu m1 note will be available in 2 colors – blue and white. After sucess stories of various Chinese brands such as Huawei, Lenovo, ZTE, Gionee, Xiaomi etc., Meizu is another Chinese brand that has debuted in India to make hay while the sun shines.
According to Meizu Technology, “‘the whole surfaces of the Meizu m1 note is engraved by lightly CNC machine to remove any imperfections and reveal a perfect, high-precision body. The magnesium alloy chassis holds the battery, camera, processor and other internal modules, so it has to be solid and reliable. To make the panel structurally strong, the phone undergoes 19 delicate procedures, including rough and fine peening, washing, polishing, forming and shaping. Despite the heightened difficulty in the production process, this has substantially boosted the structural reliability of the entire handset. The polycarbonate unibody design, introduced for the first time in a budget phone with pre-colored polycarbonate makes the phone uniform and light with vivid, durable and a natural cover”.
The Meizu m1 Note is a phablet and comes with a 5.5-inch HD display having resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel with 403 PPI. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It is driven by 1.7Ghz octa-core processor of MediaTek and Mali-T760 MP2 GPU, coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This phone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with the CMOS from Samsung, LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera to meet the requirements of the selfie enthusiasts.
To address the problem of charging again and again, the m1 Note is packed with massive 3,140 mAh Sony/ATL battery and a sophisticated power management processor ensuring a long run time.battery. It runs on old Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with proprietary Flyme 4 skin on it. Meizu m1 note has dual SIM support- one SIM for 4G high speed network and another for 2G phone call network.
This smartphone by Meizu will face tough competition from Xiaomi of China, which has taken the Indian market by storm with its aggressive pricings. Meizu m1 note has an attractive price tag and can give sleepless night to Xiaomi, if it is marketed properly.
