The Indus Keyboard in the Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro has a hybrid keyboard feature, which allows users to type in a mix of English and regional language using the English keyboard. It also has patented word predictions, matra predictions and auto-correction features offering a user-friendly smartphone experience. The OS is also equipped with an inbuilt runtime transliteration feature that runs even without any internet connectivity. The Text-to-Speech feature allows users to translate any text on the smartphone into audio in any of the offered six Indian languages; Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali and Telugu. This function works on text on browser, WhatsApp and SMS, empowering people to talk, type, and text in their own native language, as stated by the company in its press statement.

Another translation feature offered in Canvas Unite smartphones through the Indus OS is the patented Indus Swipe feature. It allows users to swipe right to translate between preferred language and another, and also to swipe left to transliterate. The Unite 4 and Unite 4 Pro come with home screen design with direct access to system apps that are personalized on the basis of the consumer’s usage allowing the consumers to access 80% of the most used features and apps in the first two screens.
