Hyundai India has announced that their new 2019 Elantra sedan will incorporate 34 features of Blue Link connectivity and out of which 10 features are India specific. You may remember that Blue Link connecivity was introduced in Venue Suv by Hyundai. The new Elantra will also be is equipped with the BS6 Petrol engine with low vibrations, superior performance, high fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions.
The Blue Link Connectivity features are for safety, security, remote access, location based services, alert services and Artificial Intelligence.
For Safety, the new Elantra will have Auto Crash Notification (ACN), SOS/Emergency Assistance, Road Side Assistance, Panic Notification and Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). For security, it will have Stolen Vehicle Tracking, Stolen Vehicle Notification and Stolen Vehicle Immobilization in Kappa 1.0T MT& DCT. For remote access, the new Elantra will have features of Remote Engine Start/Stop, Remote Climate Control, Remote Door Lock/Unlock, Remote Horn Honk & Light, Remote Vehicle Status, Find My Car etc. The Vehicle Relationship Management features comprises of Monthly Health Report, Maintenance Alert and Driving Information/Behaviour to name a few.
The Location-Based Services (LBS) have features of Push Map to car from App, Push Maps by Call Centre, Live POI Search, Live Traffic Information, Share The Destination, Live Car Tracking etc and the alert services provide Speed Alert, Time Fencing Alert, Valet Alert and Idle Alert to name a few.
The new Elantra will have AI based Indian English based interactive Voice Recognition services and with Natural Language Understanding, you don’t need to remember the commands to interact with your infotainment system.
