It appears that 64MP quad rear camera is the latest trend. Earlier, we have seen Realme phone with 64MP camera and Xiaomi is launching a new phone on 16th October in India with 64MP camera. To be among the first trend settters, Oppo has launched today Oppo K5 smartphone in China and the USP of this phone is ofcourse 64MP primary sensor on the back alongwith three more sensors.
Oppo K5 sports a 6.4 inch (2340 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED display with small notch having 91.9% screen-to-body ratio. The display gets protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. This phone gets energised by Octa Core Snapdragon 730G processor with Adreno 618 GPU and is combined with 6GB LPPDDR4x RAM with storage options of 128GB or 8GB LPPDDR4x RAM with 128/256Gb of storage. This phone is packed with 4000mAh battery with 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging capability.
For photography, this phone has been provided with four cameras at the back – 64MP camera having Samsung GW1 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, LED flash; 8MP 119 degree ultra-wide sensor with f/2.25 aperture; 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. For selfie, it has 32MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture.
This is Dual SIM supporting phone and runs on ColorOS 6.1 based on Android 9. For security, it has in-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock feature.
For connectivity, this phone offers options of USB Type-C, NFC, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS etc.
The Oppo K5 is priced CNY 1,899 (approx. Rs. 19,000) for the 6GB + 128GB variant ,CNY 2,099 (approx Rs. 21,000) for the 8GB + 128GB version and CNY 2,499 (approx. Rs. 25,000) for the 8GB + 256gb variant . It comes in Blue, Green, and White gradient finishes and will go on sale on 17th October in China. Hopefully, it will arrive in India very soon.
