Oppo has introduced new brand Realme which will be sold online exclusively via Amazon and introduced their first smartphone in India – Realme 1 in three variants. Realme 1 comes with 3GB RAM with 32GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs. 8990, 10990 and Rs. 13,990 respectively. These prices are very attractive and will give competition to likes of Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and Honor 7X.
The 3GB and 6GB RAM variants of this phone will go on sale May 25 at 12 noon on Amazon.in and 4GB RAM variant will be available in the month of June. The company has also announced Reliance Jio benefits of up to Rs 4,850 and 5% cashback offers for SBI card holders. This phone will be available in Solar Red and Diamond Black colour options.
On the design front, this phone looks like Oppo F7 Diamond Black and has glossy diamond cut design on the back. back. The back cover of Realme 1 is claimed to use a 12-layer nanotech composite material made by 10-nanometer titanium and 20-nanometer. The reflection at the back of the device changes with different angles of light, producing an effect as exquisite as a diamond.
On the specifications front, the Realme 1 sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with resolution of 2160X1080 pixels with 84.75% screen-to-body ratio, slim bezels on the sides and without a notch which we noticed on Oppo F7. It is powered by Octa Core MediaTek Helio P60 12nm processor which is claimed to improve the speed by upto 50% and also help in controlling temperature of the phone. Internal storage of all the varaints can be expanded upto 256GB via microSD card. This phone is packed with 3410mAh battery with AI battery management which improves performance by analysing the users’ usage pattern as claimed by the company.
This phone has face recognition feature but does not incorporate fingerprint sensor. This phone has two dual SIM and dedicated microSD card slots with dual VoLTE support. For connectivity, this phone offers options of 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS. This phone runs on ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.
On the imaging front, this phone is mounted with 13MP rear camera with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture with AI Scene Recognition which can intelligently and accurately identify different scenes and objects in real-time to tune the perfect balance of brightness, exposure, color and contrast. For selfies, this phone has 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the cameras offer Bokeh and Vivid modes. The front camera has AI Beauty mode which is said to recognize 296 facial points based on gender to enhance selfies.
