Saavn Music is a free mobile application available for Android, iOS devices (no Blackberry :/) which lets you stream bollywood songs on your mobile for free! No strings attached…..! The best part is that since Google Music has tied up with Saavn for online streaming of hindi movie songs (and of other languages viz. Tamil), you can expect the latest albums to appear in app as and when they are released officially.
This, in my opinion, is better than searching for illegal ways to download the music album first, transfer to your smartphone and then listen. Moreover, Saavn Music Android app allows you to create/save playlists of your favourite songs; queue songs for streaming and is available worldwide, not just restricted to Indian users.
On the flipside, since it requires a working Internet connection/3G/Wifi, you can be restricted at places where the connectivity is poor and/or expensive (as is the case of 3G in India). However, you can select “Poor Quality” from song settings and get the songs to play in low bitrate but that won’t be the best of the experience.
