Smartron, based in Hyderabad has launched their second smartphone srt.phone after the name of legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar at an event in New Delhi today. Sachin himself officially launched the phone made by Smartron in which he has invested also.
srt.phone comes in two versions of 32GB ROM which is priced Rs. 12,999 and 64 GB internal storage variant which is priced at Rs. 13,999. Both the phones will be sold exclusively on Flipkart. This is available in Titanium Gray color. Flipkart is also offering Rs. 1500 discount on exchange and Sachin Tendulkar Signature back cover for free for a limited period.
On the specifications front, this phone sports a 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD, IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. This phone is powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 processor with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and storate options of 32GB or 64GB and unlimited storage via t.cloud.
This phone runs on almost stock Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) OS and the company claims that it will be updated regularly. This is Dual SIM phone and both the sims will support 4G LTE. This phone has fingerprint sensor on the back which is claimed to unlock the phone in .09 second.
On the camera front, this phone is mounted with 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, PDAF, f/2.0 aperture and it houses 5MP front camera.
This phone has USB Type-C slot for charging and gets its juice from 3000mAh battery with quick charge 2.0. It also offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio, GPS and NFC.
This phone has plastic body and will compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4 which has metal design and is packed with 4100mAh battery but runs on Snapdragon 625 processor and Android M.
