At an event in New Delhi, Samsung India today announced 44 new models of TVs in India. The new range introduced today comprises of premium SUHD TVs, Smart TV range in the mid segment and Joy Beat range in the affordable segment. These TVs are priced in the range of Rs. 28,000 to Rs 24 lakh (MRP).
The SUHD range of TVs will be available in the sizes of 49 inch to 88 inch in the
prices range from Rs 179,900 to 2,399,900 (MRP).
The Smart TV range will be available from 32 to 88 inch in the range of Rs 34,500 to Rs 703,900 (MRP).
The Joy Beat range will be available in 32 inch to 49 inch from Rs 27,900 to Rs 69,500 (MRP).
The USP of the new range is that SUHD TVs incorporates Quantum Dot Display which offer Quantum Dot Colour and HDR 1000, for superior color reproduction, brightness, contrast and details. These TVs come with bezel-less curved design and also boasts of unrivalled Smart TV experience for enriched entertainment.
The new range of Smart and Joy Beat televisions have been equipped with innovative features taking into account the requirements of Indian consumers. The Smart TV range has Smart Interface, Smart Content, Smart Convergence and Smart Play features for smart TV experience. The Joy Beat range come with built-in tweeters for rendering good audio quality.
Samsung has also announced eleven innovative features which will embellish the new range to give you exhilirating viewing experience.
The new SUHD range has Quantum Dot Display, which according to Samsung is the revolutionary new technology and offers 64 times more colour shades than a conventional UHD TV and can express up to 1 billion colours in detail for incredible colour reproduction. The other innovation is HDR 1000 and all SUHD TVs will have this which render 1,000 nit brightness for a higher level of contrast between light and dark images.This results in the brightest pictures with the finest details.
These TVs have world’s first bezel-less curved design. The smart tv will have new interface for one integrated content and services platform which will enable consumers to switch seamlessly between OTT content, live TV as well as other connected devices including video game consoles, Blu-ray player and set-top-boxes.
With new Samsung Smart TV, you will now be able to control your Home theatre system, game console or set top box connected to the TV. The detected external devices can be controlled with the Smart Control Remote and no set up is required for this activity.
The upgraded Smart View app now offers convergence across platforms and is available on Galaxy, Android and iOS devices as well as Window PCs, allowing users to share photos, video and music with family and friends. Moreover, multiple users can simultaneously connect all their phones for sharing.
The Smart TV also has an option to pair your smartphone via Bluetooth and play your favorite songs saved on your phone from the TV even while the TV is on standby mode. Also users can wirelessly pair their TV with their Home Theatre and Bluetooth Speaker and carry the TV audio with them to any other part of the home.
For cricket crazy viewers, Samsung has come out with Cric-o-mania application for getting updates of live cricket match even when you are watching another channel.
You can now use your Smartphone as the remote and seamlessly scroll through your favourite content on new Smart TV. You can download now a number of Games and Apps from the Samsung Apps Store and save them to an external storage device (USB/HDD) to later play them offline.
