Samsung has launched today its first smartphone of the year in India – Galaxy A8+ (2018). This is the first smartphone from the stable of Samsung which comes with Dual front cameras.
On the specifications front, the Galaxy A8+ flaunts a 6-inch (1080×2220 pixels) Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. It has an Always on Display with 18:5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an Octa-Core (2.2GHz Dual + 1.6GHz) Exynos 7885 14nm processor mated with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card. This is Dual SIM phone and runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. This phone is packed with 3500mAh battery with fast charge.
For imaging this phone is mounted with 16MP and 8MP front cameras with f/1.9 aperture for taking close-ups with the background blurred to portrait shots with a clear and crisp background. It has Live Focus feature for adjusting the bokeh effect before or after taking the picture to create high-quality images. It has 16MP rear camera with LED flash and f/1.7 aperture. The camera has features of customizing photos with fun options by adding stickers to selfie or highlighting a culinary extravaganza with Food Mode.
This phone incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back. It is Water and dust resistant device with IP68 certification. It is also equipped with Samsung Pay for safe transactions by tapping or swiping the card. It is also the first device in the A series to support Samsung’s Gear VR.
This phone offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.0, NFC, USB Type-C. It has dimensions of 159.9×75.7x 8.3 mm and weighs 191g.
Priced at Rs. 32,990 this phone will go on sale exclusively on Amazon.in from 20th January in Black and Gold colours. This phone will face stiff competition from Honor View 10 and OnePlus 5T.
