Capitalising on its huge success of Galaxy Note series in India, South Korean giant Samsung launched today two new big screen smartphones – Galaxy Mega 6.3 and Galaxy Mega 5.8 – at Rs 31,490 and Rs 25,100, respectively.

Popularly known as phablets because of their large screens, Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 sports a 6.3-inch HD LCD, and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor. It comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera, and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. The Galaxy Mega has 1.5GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and A-GPS. The phone comes with a 3,200 mAh battery and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It will come in 8 and 16GB internal storage capacity variants and will have a microSD card for expanding the memory up to 64GB.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 sports a 5.8-inch QHD TFT display, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, and features the same camera as that of Galaxy Mega 6.3,and also runs on This phablet will have only an 8GB internal storage variant, which can be expanded to 64GB via microSD card. It is packed with a 2,600mAh battery.
Both the above Galaxy Mega devices have following features :

Both the devices also support AirView feature which allows users to preview content without actually clicking or touching on the device itself. This is the prominent feature of Galaxy S4.
The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 inches will be available in the market within a week , and is priced Rs. 25,100. The Galaxy Mega 6.3 inches will be introduced in the market in mid June 2013, and is priced at Rs. 31,490.
