Samsung India has launched today the world’s slimmest tablet, the Galaxy Tab S2 which is 4G enabled. Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is super-slim and ultra-light having thickness of just 5.6mm and its weight is only 392 grams. The tablet is perfectly designed for reading and consuming content due to its Super AMOLED Display.
The Galaxy Tab S2 is priced Rs. 39,400 and will be available in three colors, Gold, Black and White. It will be available for sale across all retail outlets from 2nd September onwards. During launch period, Tab S2 consumers will get 2GB of 4G data per month free, for two months on Airtel’s Network. Samsung is also offering Galaxy gifts worth Rs. 31000+ by offering access to latest applications of News, Entertainment & Productivity. There are various apps which are otherwise paid but offered for free with Galaxy Tab S2 for a limited period.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 features 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536 pixels) Super AMOLED display, which is capable of delivering 94% of natural tones to show true-to-life colors. Its Adaptive Display intelligently adjusts the display quality based on the environment and ambient lighting. Reading Mode modifies the screen’s brightness level to help users to read content for longer periods of time without straining their eyes.
The Galaxy Tab S2 is powered by Exynos Octacore processor (Quad 1.9GHz + Quad 1.3GHz) coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage extendable to 128GB via microSD card. This tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is equipped with ab 8MP AF(rear) wtih f1.9 apeture and 2.1MP(front) cameras. It is packed with 5,870mAh battery.
It offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth4.1.
This tablet comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Solutions for creating and editing documents. It also offers storage up to 100GB on cloud via One Drive app for two years for free. It also incorporates a new feature Side Sync that helps consumers replicate and control a smartphone or a laptop via the tablet itself. All features of a smartphone can be accessed easily on the tablet, even if the smartphone is kept away. In addition, the Galaxy Tab S2 offers Multitasking, allowing users to view and run two apps simultaneously.
The Galaxy Tab S2 also comes with a touch-enabled Fingerprint Scanner for hassle-free authentication. A built-in advanced security sensor offers easy access to the personal device with a simple press against the home key. The Galaxy Tab S2 also features Smart Manager which displays the device’s settings in a single screen, including battery power levels, storage and RAM availability for users to efficiently manage their devices. It is also pre-installed with anti-malware for an extra layer of protection.
For those who are required to type a lot, this Tablet has an advanced Book Cover Keyboard, which is optional accessory, that delivers the convenience of a standard PC keyboard with a built-in track pad for executing tasks on-the-go. Book cover keyboard and book coversol will be sold separately.
