Samsung’s Galaxy smartphone is the most sought after brand and this statement can be justified by huge response received from prospective buyers of latest Galaxy S III, which will be available in Germany on 29th May, 2012 followed by other countries and in India most probably in the first week of June. Samsung Electronics Co has received some 9 million pre-orders for its 3rd generation Galaxy S smartphone from more than 100 global carriers.
With Galaxy S III, Samsung will definitely break the record of its last two flagship devices – Galaxy Note and Galaxy S II. Samsung had said late last month that the new Galaxy S smartphone would “substantially contribute” to its second-quarter earnings.
Meanwhile, Samsung India has starting taking pre-orders for Galaxy S III smartphone on the company’s e-store, which was unveiled recently. Company however has not revealed the price of the smartphone and is asking consumers to pay a fixed sum of Rs. 2,000 to get in the queue for this much-awaited device.
Customers who places a pre booking order for Galaxy S III will receive special coupon which will contain a code that can be used at the time of buying Galaxy S III from Samsung eStore to get the discount of Rs 2,000 and a surprise gift. At the time of launch, an email will be exclusively sent to customers who have pre-booked their Galaxy S III on the eStore, informing them of the availability of the Galaxy S III.
The terms and conditions of the pre-bookings are a little unusual, so customers are advised to read the fine print before putting down the money. The terms neither guarantee the purchase nor offer a cancellation option if you change your mind.
Originally announced at a press event in London recently, Samsung Galaxy S III features a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, 1.4 GHz Exynos quad core processor and 8 MP rear camera. Samsung has also added new S-Voice virtual assistant feature and also Smart Stay eye tracking feature that shuts down the screen when its user is not looking at it.
Samsung has not disclosed yet the price of Galaxy S III, but it is expected to be around Rs.40,000 in India.
