Sony India is all set to launch its lates flagship smratphone – Xperia Z2 in India on 8th May at an event, which will be held in New Delhi. Sony has sent out the media invites for the same, and we shall be covering this event. Sony Xperia Z2 was unveiled in MWC in February,2014.

The Sony Xperia Z2 features a 5.2-inch (1080×1920 pixel) Triluminos display with X-Reality engine, and is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage, which can be expanded upto 64 GB via microSD card. This smartphone is fuelled with a 3200mAh battery with enhancement of Sony’s Battery STAMINA Mode, which is claimed to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time, standby time of 740hours, continuous music playback time of 120 hours. This smartphone is also dust and water resistant.
The Xperia Z2 is equipped with a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Exmor RS sensor which is capable of 4K (Ultra-HD) video recording, and a 2.2-megapixel rear camera. For connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi hotspot functionality, DLNA, GPS with A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, FM radio with RDS, and has a 3.5mm audio jack.
In order to compete with Samsung Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and LG G PRO 2, the price element of Xperia Z2 will play an important role. All the aforesaid competitive devices are priced in the range of Rs. 50,000 and Galaxy S5 is available even at Rs. 44000 at one e-commerce site. Sony Xperia Z2 price should be very attractive to lure customers to possess this device. Let us wait till 8th May to see what is in store for the buyers as far as price is concerned.
