Its HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine shall allow crisp images, without any jagged edges.

This model is successor of mid range of  Xperia smartphones – Neo L and Go which were launched in India last month. While Xperia neo L and Go are already available,Xperia ion will start selling from 21st August, 2012.

This phone is priced at Rs. 36,999 and will have to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S III  as far as price is concerned. Samsung is very popular brand for Android smartphones and if one has to shell out Rs. 37,000 then his or her first choice would be Galaxy S III. Only the coming days and months will tell us how Sony’s Xperia ion is received in price sensitive market like India. Probably, Sony wants to test the water at above price and if not very successful, they might reduce the price a little bit.
