It is raining tablets in Computex 2013 in Taiwan. After announcement of Windows tablet by Acer and slew of tablets by Asus, it was turn of Japanese conglomerate to announce today three Android tablets having display size of 10.1 inch – Excite Pure, Excite Pro and Excite Write. While Excite and Pro are the higher end tablets, Pure is a budjet tablet.
Excite Pure has a 10.1-inch screen display with 1280 x 800 screen resolution. This tablet is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 mobile processor. It comes with a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera but does not have rear camera. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean version 4.2, and offers 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded through a microSD card slot. The device offers connectivity through Micro-HDMI and Micro-USB. The price of this tablet is $299.99.
Excite Pro has a 10.1-inch display with a 2560 x 1600 pixels screen resolution. It is powered by Nvidia’s new Tegra 4 mobile processor and runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2 version OS. This tablet comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM, 32GB internal storage, an 8MP rear camera, built-in Micro HDMI, Micro USB ports and a microSD slot. The price of this tablet is $499.99.
Excite Write also has 10.1-inch screen with a 2560 x 1600 pixel screen resolution. Its a Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen. It is also powered by Nvidia Tegra 4 mobile processor, and runs Android 4.2 version of Jelly Bean. This tablet comes with 2GB DDR3 RAM and 32GB internal storage. It has an 8 megapixel rear camera, and built-in Micro HDMI, Micro USB ports and a Micro SD slot.The Excite Write also comes equipped with a touchscreen digitiser. The price of this tablet is $599.99.
All three tablets will be available beginning on 25 June, 2013 in the US.
