Videocon Launches A20, A30 Dual SIM Android Budget Smartphones


After relative successful launch of budget feature phones earlier this year, Videocon has forayed into smartphone segment by launching budget Android smartphones – A20 & A30. In its statement, the company claims that it is an amalgamation of dual-SIM super smartphone features in a sleek contoured body with all the latest features and technology. As per the company, the smartphones are an answer to all budget smartphone needs of the country’s evolving consumer base.

The A20 runs on Android 2.3 and sports a 3.5-inch HVGA display and features a 3-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor underneath with 256MB RAM, and is fuelled by a 1350 mAh  battery. The smartphone has 512MB of on-board storage with external expansion options upto 32GB via microSD card.

The Videocon A20 smartphone comes pre-loaded with apps like Facebook, TOI, ET, History Eraser, Gesture Search and Google applications and is available at a price of Rs 4,999.

On the other hand, Videocon A30 runs on Android 4.0 and has a 4-inch WVGA display, a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. Under the hood, it features a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 512MB RAM and comes with 4GB internal storage (expandable upto 32GB), and is fuelled by a 1500mAh battery. The Videocon A30 measures 10.8mm in thickness.

It comes pre-loaded with apps like Facebook, TOI, ET, History Eraser, Gesture Search, Gameloft Crome- ‘Where’s Wally’, Google applications. The Videocon A30 is available at a price range of Rs 7,299.

Both the above devices are Dual-Sim (GSM+GSM) smartphones and connectivity options  include 3G (HSDPA 7.2Mbps), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0. Both the smartphones have feature of FM Radio with Recording.
