Videocon Launches World’s First Windows 10 Powered LED TV Cum PC Starting At Rs. 39,990

The white goods manufacturer of India, Videocon has  launched today world’s first Windows 10 powered LED TV in collaboration with Microsoft. This LED TV is powered by Windows 10 and will function as normal TV as well as a full-fledged PC.

Videocon call this device One touch PC, One touch TV as it provides flexibility and ease of use. This TV comes loaded with all Microsoft Office applications and enables you to create and edit documents or presentations. The Windows 10 powered TV lets you move quickly from browsing to typing notes directly on web pages, and sharing them with others.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Vineet Durani, Director-Windows Business Group, Microsoft said “We are delighted to partner with Videocon for the launch of this first of its kind TV which can be converted to a full Windows 10 PC. Windows 10 has received an overwhelming response from customers which is evident from our milestone achievement of 110+ million downloads globally and now with this innovative product, we intend to extend the great Windows 10 experience to more and more users. At Microsoft, it is our constant endeavor to help our partners enter newer categories and create innovative products in order to offer our customers the best user experience at affordable price points.”

This TV comes loaded with Windows Store and you can access your favorite apps, games, music, movies etc. Screen Casting allows wireless transfer of photos, music & videos to your TV using the “All Cast” app. Videocon’s Windows 10 powered TV also provides access to social media tools like Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, etc. The dual function of the LED Windows 10 powered TV makes it a perfect fit for one’s room where one can easily switch from work on PC to entertainment leisure on TV.

The 98cm (40 inches) variant comes with a Full HD display that produces clearer and crisper pictures. Videocon’s new range also has an in-built Wi-Fi function that automatically connects with the available networks for smooth internet accessibility. The MHL interface of the LED allows users to connect their smart phones, tablets and other portable consumer electronic gadgets while simultaneously charging the device. In addition, the TV comes with HDMI ports, 2GB DDR3 RAM and has 16 GB of internal storage which can be extended to 128 GB through the MicroSD slot.

Announcing the launch, Mr. Akshay Dhoot, Head of Technology and Innovation, Videocon said, “We are extremely thrilled to announce the launch of world’s first Windows 10 powered TV. The Windows 10 powered LED TV comes in two variants of 81cm (32 inches) and 98cm (40 inches) and are priced Rs. 39,990 and Rs. 52,990, respectively. These TVs will be available through Videocon dealers and at all leading outlets like Vijay Sales by November, 2015.

  1. I need a TV in our indoor patio and a 40 inch model with Windows 10 built in for $615 is exactly what I’m looking for.
