At an event in Mumbai, Chinese handsets maker Vivo has launched two new flagship devices for the Indian market -Vivo 3 and Vivo 3 Max smartphones. Vivo which is title sponsor of IPL 2016 has also roped in famous Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh as its brand ambassador.
The V3 and V3 Max have metal design and both the devices are quite sleek and look very impressive. The front of the phone comes with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass for protection of the screen. Both the devices are light devices. The V3 Max weighs of 168 grams. Both the devices are touted to be quite fast as far as their fingerprint scanners, camera and battery charging capabilites ( in the case of V3 Max) are concerned.
Vivo 3 Max sports a 5.5 inch full HD display with pixel resolution of 1920X1080.It is powered by a Snapdragon 1.8Ghz. 652 processor combined with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card. This is Dual SIM device.
As far as imaging is concerned, the V3 Max is equipped with 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF), Optical Image Stabilisation and LED flash. The beauty of the camera is that it starts in just 0.7 seconds, and focusing take around 0.2 seconds so that you can capture the precious moments without any miss. It also houses an 8MP front camera for taking beautiful selfies.
Both the V3 and V3 Max incorporate fingerprint reader which has been given on the back of the devices and which unlock the smartphone in a breeze. This fingerprint reader takes less than 0.5 seconds to unlock the phone and we can vouch for this as we have tested the phone ourselves. With this fingerprint scanner, you can also click selfies.
The V3 Max is packed with 3000mAh battery with Dual fast charging technology which allows for 2 hours of (Hi-Fi) music playback with only 5 minutes of plugging in.
Vivo phones are known for hi-fi audio and the company has taken this feature forward in this phone also. The Vivo V3 Max and Vivo 3 are equipped with ultra powerful speakers to give you very exhilirating sound experience.
Both the V3 and V3 Max support 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi etc. and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 with Vivo’s Funtouch OS 2.5 on the top.
On the other hand, the Vivo V3 flaunts the same metal design as of V3 Max but comes with smaller screen, battery, RAM and processing. The V3 max features a 5 inch HD display with resolution of 1280×720 pixels resolution. It is powered by Snapdragon 616 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be further extended upto 128GB. This phone gets its juice from 2550mAh battery.
The Vivo 3 and Vivo 3 Max have same camera hardware features and audio features. Both the phone also incorporate split-screen feature that allows users to multitask .
