Xiaomi Launches Redmi 4A With 13MP Rear Camera, 3120mAh Battery At Rs. 5,999

Xiaomi of China is known for bringing smartphones at aggresssive pricing and in this direction, the company has launched today Made in India, Redmi Note 4A smartphone in their Redmi Note 4 series. This phone is priced just Rs. 5,999 and will be available in Dark Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold colors.

Redmi 4A will start selling from March 23rd at 12 noon exclusively on Mi.com and Amazon. It will also be available in a new Rose Gold colour exclusively on Mi.com from April 6th.

Despite its attractive price, the Redmi Note 4A features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Quad-core 425 processor (1.4GHz) with an Adreno 308 GPU, 64-bit support. It comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further extended upto 128GB via microSD card. This phone is packed with 3120mAh battery.

On the photographic front, this phone is mounted with 13MP rear camera with LED flash, 5-element lens, f/2.2 aperture camera. For selfies, this phone has 5MP front camera, f/2.2 aperture and also boasts of Beautify (Smart and Pro modes).

This phone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android Marshmallow with support for 13 Indian languages. This phone also incorporates features such as Dual Apps support, local SMS features like copy OTP and more will be introduced shortly.

This phone also incorporate IR blaster for controlling TVs, set-up boxes and air conditioners, DVD players etc.This phone has been designed for full compatibility with India’s LTE cellular networks, including support for LTE Band 5 used for Voice over LTE (VoLTE).

The Redmi Note 4A has polycarbonate body and its thickness is 8.5mm. This is very light device having a weight of just 131.5 gms.

At today’s launch event, Xiaomi also announced its second manufacturing unit in partnership with Foxconn at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. Xiaomi’s first plant went live in August 2015 and by March 2016, over 75 percent of its phones were being manufactured in India as claimed by the company.
