The second smartphone launched by Xiaomi today in India is Redmi Note 5 Pro. The USP of this phone is full view FHD+ Display, 20MP front camera for selfies and Dual Rear cameras. This phone is available upto 6GB RAM.
On the specifications front, the Redmi Note 5 Pro also comes with 5.99-inch (2160 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ display with aspect ratio of 18:9, 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. It gets its strength from 1.8GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 636 14nm SoC with Adreno 509 GPU. It comes in two variants of 4GB and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB (eMMC 5.0) storage which can be further extended upto 128GB via microSD card. This phone runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS. It is packed with 4000mAh battery.
For photography, this phone is mounted with two rear cameras – 12MP with dual-tone LED Flash, Sony IMX486 sensor, 1.25um pixel size, f/2.2 aperture and secondary camera of 5MP with 1.12um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture. For selfies, this phone comes with 20MP front-facing camera with Sony IMX376 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, selfie LED flash and features of Portrait selfie. Both the rear and front cameras have features of Bokeh effect and Beautify 4.0 to fine tune the images as per the facial orientation.
This phone also has Hybrid Dual SIM slots and fingerprint sensor on the back. Xiaomi has announced that they will be bringing Face Unlock feature on this phone by OTA update by the end of March, 2018. This phone offers connectivity options of 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS.
Redmi Note 5 Pro is priced at INR 13,999 for 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant and INR 16,999 for 6GB RAM, 64GB storage variant. Available in in Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Blue colors, it will also be available exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com and Mi Home Stores starting from February 22nd. This phone also comes with Rs. 2200 cashback offer and 100% additional 4G data by Reliance Jio.
