Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 With Snapdragon 625, 4100mAh Battery Launched in India, Starting At Rs. 9,999

 

Chinese brand Xiaomi has launched today its affordable smartphone – Redmi Note 4 which comes with powerful features. The Redmi Note 4 is the successor of the highly successful Redmi Note 3 of Xiaomi. This phone was launched in China in the month of August last year with Deca-Core MediaTek Helio X20 processor. But in India, this phone comes with Snapdragon 625 processor as Xiaomi has certain issues with Mediatek chipset in India.

The Redmi Note 4 comes in three variants of 2GB RAM + 32GB of internal storage which is priced Rs. 9,999, 3GB RAM +32GB ROM for Rs. 10,999 and 4GB + 64GB ROM at Rs. 12,999. The internal storage of all the variants can be extended upto 128GB via microSD card. It is available in Gold, Dark Grey and Black colours. The first sale for Redmi Note 4 is at 12pm on January 23 exclusively on Mi.com and Flipkart with no pre-registrations.

The Redmi Note 4 sports a premium metal body with anodized high-gloss aluminium lines and a beautifully symmetric design which gives it a premium look. It is the first Redmi smartphone to feature 2.5D curved glass on the front which, paired with tapered edges, makes the device extremely comfortable to hold.

This phone sport a 5.5 inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels, 401ppi) display with 2.5D curved glass. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2.0GHz with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit (GPU). This phone supports Hybrid Dual SIM (micro + nano/microSD).

The camera of this phone has been optimized to produce sharp and vibrant images compared to Redmi Note 3. This phone is equipped with 13MP CMOS camera with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) for faster focusing, f/2.0 aperture, Dual-Tone LED flash and a Backside Illuminated (BSI) sensor with 1.12-micron pixels. It also houses a 5 MP front camera with 85-degree wide angle lens.

For security, this phone incorporates fingerprint scanner on the back panel for unlocking the phone and for taking selfies. It also has an infrared sensor. This phone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company has also announced that MIUI 8 beta based on Android N will be available soon on this phone.

This phone gets its juice from powerful 4100mAh battery which is claimed to last on average 25% longer than Redmi Note 3. It offers connectivity options of 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS.
