Huawei has launched yesterday budget smartphone Honor 4X alongwith flagship Honor 6 Plus, in India. The Honor 4X is priced at Rs. 10,499 and will go on sale in India from 30th March.
What we have liked about this phone is its design and power-packed features. The back of this device has textured surface and power buttons are of black and steel colors. We have with us black color smartphone for the review.
The Honor 4X comes with impressive features, which one expects in a high-end smartphone. The Honor 4X sports a 5.5-inch IPS HD (720×1280 pixels) display, and is driven by a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 processor, with an Adreno 306 GPU. It comes with 2GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The little bit disappoint is from the storage front. It should have been 16GB instead of 8GB. Anyhow, there is provision to extend the internal storage capacity upto 32GB via microSD card. This smrtphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with layer of Emotion UI 3.0. It is expected that this smartphone will be updated to latest Lollipop OS in due course of time.
To our opinion, the USP of Honor 4X is its powerful imaging capabilites. The rear camera of this device has Sony 13-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture. It also houses a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies enthusiasts. We reproduce below some images taken from this camera in daylight. These images were clicked from the point of view of naive user, who does not have knowledge about professional shooting. Still, the results are excellent and believe me will compete with any high-end smartphone reproductions.

Similarly, selfies taken on this smartphone with its 5MP camera will be appreciated by the selfie lovers and they will be delighted to share these images with their near and dear ones.

The Honor 4X will not disappoint you if you need to capture the desired moments in fading light or in the night. We have done this experiment also and are quite impressed with camera capabilites for reproducing good images in the dark also:
If you get all these features with massive 3000mAh battery and LTE enabled device at Rs. 10,500 then one should not complaint. This is a good bargain in our opinion and one can consider it seriously if your budget to buy a new smartphone is Rs. 10K.
