LG Electronics has announced today that their much-hyped LG G Flex curved smartphone will be available in February in major European markets including the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Sweden and Austria, among others. Currently,the G Flex is available only in markets like Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore. This smartphone is expected to be launched in US around the month of April. LG has already .announced its partnership with AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile lately to launch the G Flex in the US market.
The LG G Flex was officially launched in India and the at the launch event, the company did not disclose the price of this smartphone and the exact date of availability. We assume that the G Flex will become reality in India in the month of February and is going to be priced between Rs. 60 to 63K. We expect official announcement about India availability from LG in the coming days.

The LG G Flex comes with a 6-inch HD (1280 x 720) curved display, and is powered by a 2.26GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 GPU, and 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. As per LG, the display found in the G Flex is the world’s largest Plastic OLED (POLED) display developed and mass produced specifically for this smartphones. The ultra-thin, ultra-light flexible POLED display and curved OLED panel are built on plastic substrates instead of glass, giving LG G Flex its unique shape and durability. The LG G Flex is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. The G Flex weighs just 177 grams, and runs on Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS.
The curved battery packed in the G Flex is designed especially for this phablet and this technology, reduces the physical stress on the battery pack when in the curved form and provides better stability and performance. Despite its thin form, the LG G Flex battery has a capacity of 3,500mAh, enough power for more than a full day of use.
For connectivity options, the LG G Flex has Blue Tooth 4.0, USB 3.0, WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n/ac), and NFC. LG G Flex also features the Rear Key first introduced in the LG G2 smartphone.
The LG G Flex is the first smartphone, which comes with “Self Healing” coating on the back cover. The elastic coating has the ability to recover from the daily wear-and-tear scratches and nicks that un-cased smartphones are likely to receive.
