To create buzz ahead of the official launch of the recently announced flagahip smartphone Galaxy S5, Gear 2 and Gear Fit wearable devices, Samsung has announced today that these are available for pre-order at more than 1,400 shops around the world from today onwards. The preview will give an opportunity to the prospective buyers to experience Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit, with the help of dedicated Galaxy Specialists who will be showcasing the unique new features including rich tone HDR camera, finger print recognition, and Heart Rate Monitor.
According to Samsung, the global preview will take place at Samsung Experience Stores, mobile carrier stores, and key retailer stores across 61 countries. Beginning with the United States and Switzerland on March 21, the special first look experience will be expanded to the remaining 59 markets including Brazil, China, Germany,and United Kingdom.
“The new Galaxy S5 and Gear devices are designed for what matters most to our consumers,” said Younghee Lee, Executive Vice President of Global Marketing, IT& Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics. “We listened closely to our consumers when designing these products, and we want to give as many customers as possible the enough chance to experience of Galaxy S5, Gear 2, and Gear Fit before they purchase.”
The key features of Galaxy S5 is its fingerprint scanner, dust and water-resistance capabilities, 16-megapixel rear camera, and also comes with lifestyle improved S Health 3.0 application, which offers more tools to help people stay fit and well. It provides a comprehensive personal fitness tracker to help users monitor and manage their behavior, along with additional tools including a pedometer, diet and exercise records, and a new, built-in heart rate monitor.
The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch FHD Super AMOLED (1920 x 1080) display, and is powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core processor, coupled with 2GB of RAM plus 16GB/ 32GB internal memory, which can be expanded upto 64GB via microSD card. It runs on latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat, and is fuelled by a 2800mAh battery.

The Galaxy S5 and Gear devices will be rolled-out globally on April 11, 2014.
