Samsung has expanded its portfolio of Galaxy A series and officially launched today Galaxy A8 smartphone which is the slimmest smartphone from the stable of Samsung. The Galaxy A8 is very sleek Galaxy with 5.9 mm thickness and is equipped with a narrow bezel of 2.5mm, to provide users with a near bezel-less optimal viewing experience. This phone has full metal uni-body design and sophisticated cut metal frame to give it elegant look.
Priced at Rs. 32,500, the Galaxy A8 is available in White, Black, and Gold colors.
The Galaxy A8 features a 5.7 inch full HD Super AMOLED (1920×1080) display with Adaptive Display technology. It runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) OS. It is powered by a (1.8/1.3) GHz Octa Core processor with 2GB RAM and inbuilt memory of 32GB, which is further expandable to 128GB. The Galaxy A8 is supported by a long-lasting 3050 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A8 comes with a 16MP main camera and 5MP front camera. It has an F 1.9 lens for both the cameras for brighter picture and real time HDR. The primary camera also has a Face Detection Alarm feature for clicking perfect selfies from the rear camera as well.
The front facing camera has a resolution of 5MP and boasts of a 120 degrees wide angle selfies in portrait mode which is perfect for clicking group selfies. The smartphone also features advanced selfie features including Ultra Wide Shot, GIF shooting modes and Auto Selfie Modes – Palm and Voice Selfie, which let users capture attractive selfies in high resolution.
The Galaxy A8 also comes with the fingerprint scanner. This phone suppots Category 6 LTE, which gives faster uplink/downlink speeds on 4G networks.
