At an event in New Delhi, the globally renowned chipsets maker for mobile devices MediaTek has announced collaboration with Micromax, India’s leading handset player. The partnership aims to accelerate 4G accessibility and fuel faster smartphone adoption in India’s rapidly growing market of smartphones. This partnership has been forged based on consumer research, which shows processor speed, battery life and multi-media are top 3 key considerations for purchasing smartphones over brand or price.
On this occasion, MediaTek also announced the availability of the Helio family, the premium smartphone chipsets that according to the company, deliver greater performance and efficiency. Micromax will be the first Indian brand to launch a device on the new Helio premium platform using the Helio X10.
