At an event in Mumbai, Chinese giant LeEco has launched its ecosystem-based membership program for entertainment content in collaboration with Eros Now, YuppTV and Hungama. LeEco also launched Le 1s Eco smartphone bundled with the newly announced entertainment package.
Known as Supertainment package, LeEco has bundled its Le Is Eco smartphone with its entertainment package for Rs 10,899. However for the first flash sale in Flipkart at 2pm on May 12th, LeEco will offer the Supertainment package free for one year with Le 1s Eco at an introductory price of Rs 9,999 and 1,00.000 units will be up for grab. The registrations for this will start from 2 pm on May 3. Otherwisw, the Supertainment package membership will cost Rs. 490 per month or Rs. 4,900 for one year.
LeEco’s Supertainment package include Live powered by YuppTV and the users can enjoy 100+ rich Live channels on their Superphones such as Sony Entertainment, NDTV, Gemini Movies, 9X Tashan, Sun TV, Times Now, Nickelodeon, Colors, and many others. Live will offer consumers a plethora of viewing options of Music, Movies, News, Drama, Spiritual and Kids Entertainment across Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Malayalam, Marathi and Oriya languages.
With Le Vidi app in collaboration with Eros Now, the users can stream movies like Bajirao Mastani, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and other 2000+ titles and latest blockbusters across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali and English.
LeEco has also partnered with Hungama Music, India’s largest on-demand music destination for its LeEco Music service.. LeEco phones users will have access to Hungama’s 3.5 million + tracks in 25 Indian languages. Users can even have a personalized playlist with their favorite songs on top and being recommended.
Besides that, LeEco India will also provide later on more than 50 live online concerts from around the world, streaming directly to all LeEco members with Superphones.
Besides entertainment content in the membership program, LeEco also announced personal clouding services -LeEco Drive and the subscribers of membership progrmme will get 5TB LeEco drive storage.
Le Vidi, Le Live services will be available from 24th May whereas Le Music and LeEco Drive will be available in third quarter of this year.
As far as Le 1s Eco is concerned, this phone has the same features as of Le 1s except the difference in processing power. The Le 1s was packed with 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor whereas the Le 1s Eco is powered by 1.8 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor. Rest of the features are same.
Le 1s Eco is a Dual SIM device and sports a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels. It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. It is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and PDAF. It also houses a 5-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. This phone is packed with 3000mAh battery.
This phone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and the company’s EUI interface on top of it and provides support for 10 Indian languages.
This phone also comes with fingerprint scanner at the back behind the rear camera. For connectivity, this phone offers options of 4G LTE support and also supports 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro-USB etc. It has dimensions of 151.1×74.2×7.5mm and its weight is 169 grams.
