Besides Zenfone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3, Asus has also launched today ZenFone 3 Ultra phablet in India. This phablet is priced Rs. 49,999 and wiill be available in Gold, Blue, Black, and White colours from September onwards in India across online and offline channels.
Like ZenFone 3 Deluxe, ZenFone 3 Ultra has slim and elegant full-metal unibody chassis — the world’s first to have no antenna lines. This phablet features a massive 6.8-inch Full HD (1920 by 1080) display. It is also the world’s first smartphone to have ASUS-exclusive Tru2Life+ Video technology, which harnesses a high-end 4K UHD TV-grade image processor to optimize every pixel in each frame before it is displayed, as claimed by the company.
The Zenfone 3 Ultra is packed with Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor, Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB of RAM and 64GB ROM, which can be expanded upto 128GB.The Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe is equipped with a 23MP rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor having 4K video support. It is the same camera provided on the Zenfone 3 Deluxe. It also comes with 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-viewing angle.
The other USP of ZenFone 3 Ultra is that it comes with massive 4600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology. ZenFone 3 Ultra even works as a power bank with 1.5A output for quickly charging other mobile devices.
For connectivity, the ZenFone 3 Ultra offers options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB 3.0 Type-C. It has dimensions of 186.4 x 93.9 x 6.8 mm and its weight is 233g.
The ZenFone 3 Ultra incorporated five-magnet stereo speakers and a NXP smart amplifier for producing Hi-Res Audio (HRA) that provides up to four-times-better sound quality than CDs as claimed by the company. It is the world’s first smartphone with virtual 7.1-channel surround sound with DTS Headphone.
This phablet also comes with fingerprint scanner on the back. It also houses an 8MP front camera for selfies with 85-degree wide-angle lens. It has hybrid dual-SIM slots (Micro SIM 4G + Nano SIM 4G) which means that you can either put two SIMS or one SIM and microSD card. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with Zen UI on top.
