Once famed mobile brand Nokia has returned with a bang and HMD Global announced slew of Android smartphones at MWC 2017 in Barcelona. The three Nokia phones announced are – Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6. These phones run Android Nougat OS with Google Assistant.
Nokia 3 – has a precision machined aluminium frame forged out of a single piece of aluminium, a sculpted Corning Gorilla Glass laminated 5 inch display. It is powered by 1.3GHz Quad-core MediaTek MT6737 64-bit Processor combined with 2GB RAM and16GB of internal memory, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
This phone is equipped with an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.0 aperture. It also comes with an 8MP autofocus front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture. This phone is packed with 2650mAh battery. This phone offers connectivity options of 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and FM radio.
It will be available in four colours – Silver White, Matte Black, TemNpered Blue and Copper White and will retail at an average global retail price of €139.
Nokia 5 – This phone has metal body and is made of a single block of 6000 series aluminium to give the phone a structural solidness. It sports a 5.2-inch IPS LCD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass cover. This phone is powered by Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM which is expandable to 128GB via microSD card.
This phone is mounted with 13 megapixel rear camera with dual-tone flash and PDAF. On the front, it has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus and comes with 84-degress field of view lens. This phone gets its juice from 3000mAh battery and supports 4G LTE networks. It incorporates a fingerprint sensor embedded on the home button.
Available in four colours – Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper – the Nokia 5 will retail at an average global retail price of €189.
Nokia 6 – flaunts a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass on top.The unibody of the Nokia 6 is also crafted from a single block of 6000 series aluminium. This phone is driven by Snapdragon 430 proessor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB ROM. It is packed with a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
This phone is mounted with a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and dual-tone flash. For selfies, this phone has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
This phone has fingerprint sensor on the home button. The Nokia 6 also boasts of dual speakers with Dolby Atmos for enhacned audio experience.
Available in four colours – Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper – the Nokia 6 will retail at an average global retail price of €229. Nokia has also annoucned Nokia 6 Arte Black Limited Edition with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. Available in a stunning black high gloss color, this will retail at an average global retail price of €299.
HMD Global has confirmed that all the above three phones will be available in single SIM and dual SIM variants. These phones will be available in Q2, 2017 in APAC, India, Middle East, Africa and Europe.
