Apple has also unveiled iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini with 5G technology, edge-to-edge Super Retina XDR displays with Ceramic Shield front cover, A14 Bionic fastest chip and advanced dual-camera system.
These phones are powered by the A14 Bionic chip whic is the first chip in the smartphone industry built on 5-nanometer process. It is claimed to to have the fastest CPU and GPU by up to 50 percent compared to the fastest competing smartphone chips, enabling console-quality gaming experiences, powerful computational photography and great battery life. The A14 Bionic features a 16-core Neural Engine — for an 80 percent increase in performance — that is capable of completing 11 trillion operations per second.
The iPhone 12 has 6.1-inch and the iPhone 12 mini comes with 5.4-inch Super Retina XDR displays. The iPhone 12 mini is the smallest, thinnest, and lightest 5G smartphone in the world. Both models feature a sleek new flat-edge design with an aerospace-grade aluminium enclosure and combined with the Ceramic Shield front cover. These phones have IP68 rating for water resistance up to 6 meters for up to 30 minutes, and are protected against everyday spills.
These phones are equipped with the 12MP Ultra Wide camera and 12MP Wide camera with an ƒ/1.6 and f/2.4 aperture. iPhone 12 camera can shoot HDR video with Dolby Vision and is the first and only device in the world to enable an end-to-end Dolby Vision experience. Both models also now feature improved cinematic video stabilisation, even more true-to-life selfie videos with Dolby Vision, and Night mode Time-Lapse. For selfie, these phones have 12MP TrueDepth front camera with f/2.2 aperture, Retina Flash and 4K video recording at 60 fps.
Both the phones are also packed with built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery with MagSafe wireless charging solution which provide up to 15W of power and accomodates existing Qi-enabled devices. These phones do not have charger in the box. These phones run on the latest iOS14.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available in five aluminium finishes, including blue, green, black, white, and (PRODUCT)RED. iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models. iPhone 12 mini is priced Rs. 69900, 74900 and 84900 for 64GB, 128GB, 256GB variants respectively and iPhone 12 is priced Rs. 79900, 84900 and 94900 for the 64GB, 128GB and 256GB variants. The iPhone 12 will be available in India starting from October 30th and the iPhone 12 mini will be available from November 13th via apple.com/in, Apple Authorised Resellers and select carriers.
