Redmi India today launched the Redmi 10 Prime smartphone in India. This phone sports a 6.5 inch (2400 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ Display along with a 90Hz refresh rate, up to 400 nits brightness and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The display comes with an inbuilt Reading mode 3.0 with paper texture, simulating the real paper to reduce eye strain. The phone features a punch-hole display and dual speakers.
The Redmi 10 Prime is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor, built on 12nm process technology. The octa-core CPU features two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs operating up to 2GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 1.8GHz for fast and responsive multitasking operations. It is paired with Mali G52 GPU. This phone is packed with a massive 6000mAh battery with a 22.5W charger out of the box. It also has support for 9W reverse wired charging. This phone comes in two variants of 4GB LPDDR4x RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage, extendable further up to 512GB with microSD card. This phone has an upgraded feature of Memory extension that allows users to expand the 4GB RAM variant by 1GB and 6GB variant by 2GB.
This phone has two SIM cards with a dedicated microSD card slot, coupled with a 3.5mm audio jack, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and IR blaster. The phone is protected with a splash-proof nano-coating and its ports are corrosion-proof with rubberized seals, and support Dual Graphite Sheets for heat dissipation, thereby ensuring that it can adapt to any lifestyle.
On the imaging front, this phone is armed with quad rear cameras comprising of 50MP main camera with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture and LED flash. The rear camera comes with various modes such as Night mode, Pro Colour mode and Portrait mode filter and with various other features such as Sky mode, Kaleidoscope Mode, Short video filters. For selfies, this phone has an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture.
This phone runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top. It offers various connectivity options of USB Type-C, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1 and GPS + GLONASS.
This phone weighs 192gms and comes in 3 colors – Phantom Black, Astral White and Bifrost Blue. Redmi 10 Prime will be available in two variants – 4GB + 64GB (RAM expandable by 1GB) at INR 12499 and 6GB + 128GB at INR 14,499 (RAM expandable by 2GB) variant across Amazon.in, Mi.com, Mi Home, and Mi Studio Stores starting 7th September 2021.
