After lot of hype, Brand Nothing has launched today its first smartphone – Nothing Phone (1). The major highlight of this phone is its Glyph Interface with unique light patterns made up of 900 LEDs which indicate who is calling and signals app notifications, charging status and more. You can pair individual contacts to a ringtone, each with a unique Glyph pattern. The Flip to Glyph feature triggers silent, lights-only notifications by placing Phone (1) with the Glyph Interface face up.
Nothing Phone (1) features a transparent back with a unique design composed of over 400 components. Its 100% recycled aluminium frame makes it light and robust, while over 50% of the phone’s plastic components are made with bio-based or post-consumer recycled materials. This phone is protected with Dual-side Gorilla Glass 5. The symmetrical bezels and aluminium frame adds elegance, lightness and durability.
This phone runs on Nothing OS based on Android 12 with no bloatware. You can control third party products from Phone (1)’s Quick Settings as easily as Nothing ones, starting with Tesla. You can unlock doors, turn on AC, see miles left and more. More third party brand integrations to be announced soon.
This phone sports a 6.55 inch (2400×1080 pixels) OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+. This phone is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 778G+ 6nm proceesor with Adreno 642L GPU and is paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM with 128GB / 256GB UFS 3.1 storage/ 12GB LPDDR5 RAM with 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. This phone is packed with 4500mAh battery with 33W wired charging, 15W Qi wireless charging and 5W reverse charging. This is Dual Nano SIM spporting phone.
For imaging, this phone is armed with Dual Rear Cameras comprising of 50MP primary camera with f/1.88 aperture, Sony IMX766 sensor and dual image stabilisation which is supported by 50MP 114° ultra-wide camera with f/2/2 aperture and features of 4K video recording at up to 30 fps. On the front, this phone has a 16 MP Sony IMX471 sensor with f/2.45 aperture.
For security, this phone has In-display fingerprint scanner and is equipped with Stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos. This phone is Splash resistant (IP53) and offers multiple connectivity options of 5G SA/NSA (12 bands), Dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC and Wi-Fi 6E 802.11ax (2.4GHz/5GHz).
Nothing Phone (1) comes in white and black colours, with three variants 8GB/128GB (INR 32,999), 8GB/256GB (INR 35,999), and the 12GB/256GB (INR 38,999)
