Brand Nothing has officially confirmed name of their next name, which will be Nothing Phone (2a). According to Nothing, Phone (2a) has been engineered with a focus on providing the optimal daily smartphone experience, doubling down on core user needs, with all of Nothing’s expertise and craftsmanship. Phone (2a), codenamed Aerodactyl, leverages some of the most loved Phone (2) features, while ensuring a clear upgrade compared to Phone (1) on every front.
In addition to the name of the new device, the company shared that it’s launching Glyph Developer Kit, which gives 3rd party Android apps the ability to control the Glyph Interface, unique to Nothing smartphones.
At this moment, hardware details of upcoming Nothing Phone (2a) has not been revealed by the brand. But as per various rumors, this upcoming phone may feature a 6.7 inch 120Hz AMOLED display. It may have MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC under the hood. For photography, this could be armed with 50MP primary camera supported by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and may have 32MP front camera for selfies.
Besides the new phone, CMF by Nothing also announced that CMF Buds and CMF Neckband Pro are also coming soon.
These products are expected to be revealed at MWC 2024 which will take place at the end of this month.
Furthermore, Nothing named Jillian Gerngross the new VP of Marketing. With 12 years of experience at Amazon Music, she will oversee the global marketing strategy, including launches of Nothing phones and new products on the audio side.
