Asus Transformer Book T100 & Fonepad 7 Tablet Launched In India

ASUS has launched today two new devices in India – the compact and ultraportable Transformer Book T100 convertible laptop, and Fonepad 7 Android tablet.

The Transformer Book T100 has 10.1-inch display with 1366 x 768 resolution and features IPS technology for wide 178-degree viewing angles with excellent daylight visibility. Capacitive multi-touch gives fine fingertip control in tablet mode, while exclusive ASUS ‘Reading Mode’ technology adjusts the display automatically to make the screen easier to read for long periods. This convertible laptop, which features a detachable tablet display, is powered by a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Bay Trail-T Z3740 quad-core processor and Intel HD graphics. It has 2GB of  RAM, and  includes a 32GB built-in eMMC storage expandable via microSD card.

This laptop has detachable HD display that can be used as a standalone tablet. It runs Windows 8.1 (32-bit). The Transformer Boook T100 weighs 1.07Kg in laptop mode and in tablet mode it weighs 55grams. It has a slim design and durable finish.

The tablet has  a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also comes with stereo speakers powered by ASUS SonicMaster audio technology. According to Asus,  the Transformer Book T100 can deliver up to eleven hours of battery life.

The Transformer Book T100 also features ASUS Instant On technology for the kind of instant response that people have come to expect from tablets. It wakes from standby in an instant and lasts for up to 14 days in standby mode. This device also features USB 3.0, 802.11a/b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. It is also bundled with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013 with full versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote.

The Transformer Book T 100 will be available in India at MRP of Rs. 34,099/- across select Asus authorised retail outlets starting November 2013.

Asus Fonepad 7 – is the updated version of Asus Fonepad and this 7 inch tablet also has voice calling support. The 7-inch display has 1280 x 800 resolution with IPS (In-Plane Switching) technology for wide viewing angles and excellent daylight visibility. This tablet has dual-front speakers with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology ensure high-quality sound.The updated Asus Fonepad 7 is powered by a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor alongside 1GB of RAM, and is equipped with  a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera, and a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with a 100 continuous-shot ‘burst’ mode and 1080p Full HD video recording.

The Fonepad 7 is packed with  3950mAh battery, which the company claims will deliver up to 28 hours of 3G talk time; 35 days of standby time and up to 10 hours of video playback. This tablet is 10.5mm thick,weighs 340g, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Fonepad 7  comes with 16GB onboard storage and a microSDHC card slot, conveniently located on the side of the case, can be used to add more. 5GB of lifetime ASUS WebStorage is also included and ASUS WebStorage Office also provides a full Microsoft Office experience on the move. The Fonepad 7 has connectivity options of Wi-Fi and built-in 3G with HSPA+ mobile data with download speeds up to 42Mbps and uploads of 5.76Mbps. Fonepad 7 can also be used for voice calls using the built-in noise-cancelling digital microphone or an optional Bluetooth headset.

This tablet also features the SuperNote app that  lets users draft notes and add images, videos, and voice memos to create multimedia notes, and  the Floating App, which helps users multi-task by giving them the option to open up to six apps simultaneously onscreen.

The ASUS Fonepad 7 will be available in India at an MRP of Rs. 17,499/- across select ASUS authorized retail outlets starting November 2013.
