OnePlus 5 Will Be The First Smartphone in India To Be Powered by Snapdragon 835 Processor

It has been officially confirmed by OnePlus that their upcoming OnePlus 5 smartphone will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processsor. OnePlus 5 will be the first smartphone in India to be packed with Snapdragon 835.

The Snapdragon 835 is the first 10nm mobile processor especially designed to support next generation entertainment experiences and connected cloud services that OnePlus phones are known to offer. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 means more feature integration, smaller size and lower power consumption with better battery life.

Pete Lau, Founder & CEO, OnePlus, has mentioned in his blog post that “we are proud to announce the OnePlus 5 will feature the Snapdragon 835 processor, which sets the foundation for smooth, powerful, and efficient performance. With graphically-demanding apps, for example, you’ll notice how fast they load and how well they run.”

Besides above confirmed hardware, the upcoming OnePlus 5 is rumored to feature a 5.5 inch full HD Display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. It may come with 6GB/8GB RAM options with internal storage of 64/128GB which could be extendable. This flagship phone is also expected to be mounted with 23MP rear camera and 16MP front camera for shooting selfies. This will definitely run on Android N with Oxygen OS on it. This phone is also rumored to get its juice from with massive 4000mAh battery with innovative Dash charging.

With these features, this phone will be truly a flagship killer and will give sleepless nights to various flagship devices which are in the range of Rs. 50,000 upwards. As far as price of OnePlus 5 is concerned, this phone is expected to be in the range of Rs. 35,000 to 40,000 in India.
