Xiaomi has expanded its portfolio of budget smartphones in India and launched today Redmi 4 at an event in New Delhi. Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be available in three variants. The 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM variant is priced at Rs. 6,999 and 3GB + 32GB variant will be available for Rs. 8,999. The 4GB + 64GB variant will be launched at Rs. 10,999 by June end. It comes in gold and matte black metal colour variants.
Redmi 4 features a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D glass. This phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processsor clocked at 1.4 GHz with Adreno 505 GPU. This phone has 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and16GB/32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable to 128GB via microSD card. This phone gets its juice from a 4100mAh battery with fast charging support.
The Redmi 4 runs on Android 6.0.1 with MIUI 8 and will be upgraded to Android N very soon. This phone incorporates fingerprint sensor on the back which is very quick and also provides added security for locking the apps.
For photography, this phone is mounted with 13 MP rear camera with Dual LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5-lens system, PDAF. For selfies, it has a 5 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
This phone offers has connectivity options of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS/ A-GPS. This phone also comes with accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity sensors.
This phone will be available on 20th May at Mi Home in Bengaluru and on Mi.com on 23rd May 2017 and also on Flipkart.com and Amazon.in starting 8th June 2017. The customers can also pre-book a device from Mi.com between 16th and 19th May by paying a small token advance of Rs. 1,000 and pick it up from Mi Home on 20th May.
