Indian handset maker- Micromax is on an agressive drive to launch one smartphone after another. To widen its portfolio of Superfone series, they have now launched the A84 Superfone Elite which will work on Google’s Android 2.3.6 viz. Gingerbread platform. This smartphone comes with a 1 GHz processor, 5.0 megapixel camera with LED flash and also a 0.3 megapixel front camera on-board.
Micromax A84 Superfone Elite is equipped with 1630 mAh battery that claims to 5 hours of talk time and 160 hours of standby time. This smartphone will be available for MRP of Rs. 9,999. This handset comes with 10.1 cms (approximately 4″ inch) WVGA full multi-touch screen. There is no clarification about internal memory of this smartphone but it can be expanded up to 32 GB through a microSD card. As part of standard features of Supefone series, Micromax A84 Superfone Elite also comes with Micromax’s voice assistant AISHA pre-installed.
Micromax does not want to leave any price segment vacant for entry-level customers and now has solution for all the pockets. Micromax had launched its 1 GHz powered Superfone A52 in June 2012 and it is retailing for approximately Rs. 6,000. The most recent addition to its Superfone line-up was the A44 Superfone Punk. This phone is a dual-SIM phone with a 1200 mAh battery, runs on Android 2.3 and is available in the market for Rs. 4,500.
