As speculated earlier, Samsung has now announced its dual SIM Android smartphone Galaxy S Duos. This dual-active smartphone will be available in Europe next month, followed by other countries including India.
At a first glance, Galaxy S Duos looks like Galaxy S III, but at a closer look, there are few differences. The screen of Galaxy S Duos is 4″ inches compared to the S III’s 4.8″ inches. The screen of Galaxy S Duos is 480×800 TFT display compared to the S III’s 720×1280 AMOLED display.
Samsung’s Galaxy S Duos runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. This phone is equipped with 1 GHz processor, 1500 mAh battery, and 4 GB of internal memory. It also features a 5 MP camera, microSD card slot and Wi-Fi. This phone has the unique ‘dual-SIM Always on’ feature, which allows consumers to receive calls on one SIM while taking a call from the other.
Galaxy S Duos will give competition to recently launched HTC’s two mid range dual SIM smartphones Desire V & VC globally. Samsung has not disclosed its price for Galaxy S Duos and as per their practice, the same will be announced close on the heels of its commercial launch.
