After Samsung, Sony, Nokia and Apple, it is now turn of LG and HTC to grab worldwide media attention by launching their new state of the art devices. The Korean giant LG Electronics has sent out invites of a joint event with Qualcomm on September 19, 2012 to launch a new smartphone in USA.
As per unconfirmed reports the new smartphone that is expected to be unveiled will be called LG Optimus G. The LG Optimus G will be the first LTE smartphone from the stable of LG that will have a Quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor. This smartphone is expected to feature a 4.7″ inch True HD IPS+LCD display with a pixel resolution of 1280 x 768, and will be powered by Android Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. There are also rumours that for specific market, this phone may be equipped with 13 MP ultra slim camera and for the rest of the markets, it will sport 8 MP camera.
This smartphone will take LG to higher echelons of Android handsets suppliers and they will be in a position to challenge supermacy of leading smartphone making companies.
As blogged earlier, HTC is also organizing an event in USA on 19th September, 2012 where it is expected to launch Windows Phone 8 smartphones, to be dubbed as Zenith, Accord and Rio. HTC may also unveil two new tablets on this occasion.
The month of September has been eventful in USA from the perspective of smartphones and it is expected that besides Surface tablet by Microsoft, many more devices will follow in the month of October, 2012.
