After releasing the sequel to Temple run – named “Temple Run 2” – for iOS, Imangi Studios, the developer of the game, has now released the new version of the popular game for Android. The new game was launched late Wednesday night and is already atop Apple’s App Store chart for free apps. The game, which was launched for iOS last week has already crossed a whopping 20 million downloads in just four days.
The new game – Temple Run 2 – is now available on Google Play for Android users. The app is available for free at Google Play Store.
Temple Run 2 promises beautiful new graphics, more vibrant environs, new hurdles, more power ups and achievements. In this game, it is not enough to simply run, slide and jump. Imangi has added more moves, including swinging from a rope and riding in a mine cart. The new game also features different environments and more detailed graphics. In addition, instead of being chased by a pack of monkeys, the player is chased by one enormous monkey.
“The response from fans has been overwhelming. We are thrilled players want more of the Temple Run universe, and we hope to grow and expand the game over the coming months,” says Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi.
“With over 170 million downloads (since its 2011 release), Temple Run redefined mobile gaming. Now get more of the exhilarating running, jumping, turning and sliding you love in Temple Run 2,” said Imangi Studios, LLC, adding “Navigate perilous cliffs, zip lines, mines and forests as you try to escape with the cursed idol. How far can you run?!”
