Blackberry has reduced the price of its Z10 smartphone for a limited period, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its foray into the Indian market. BlackBerry Z10 smartphone running the latest BlackBerry 10 OS version 10.2.1, is now available at a special price of Rs.17,990/- for a period of the next 60 days starting immediately.
BlackBerry Z10, which was launched in India in February at hefty price of Rs. 43,490, had to face lot of criticism for its strange pricing. Blackberry India had reduced the price of this device to Rs 29,990 close on the heels of Diwali festival last year and this is the second reduction in price of this smartphone.

The BlackBerry Z10 is the first smart phone from the stable of BlackBerry which runs on the BlackBerry 10 OS. This smartphone features 4.2-inch Capacitive Touchscreen, and is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 32GB of additional storage. This phone is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera that can capture 1080p videos and 2-megapixel camera in the front. The Z10 is packed with 1,850mAh removable battery, which gives 10 hours of talktime and 312 hours of standby time. It includes the latest enhancements in high density pixel and screen technology to display clear, sharp, and incredibly vivid images. It features a micro HDMI out port for presentations, advanced sensors such NFC (near field communications) to support mobile payments and the exchange of information with a tap of the smartphone. Additionally, the phone comes with BlackBerry’s iconic BBM service which allows users to conduct voice and video chats as well as screen share which are enhancements to the already popular IM service.
