Motorola is set to launch its budget smartphone Moto E on 13th May and as usual this smartphone will also be sold exclusively by popular e-commerce site Flipkart. As per various rumors and speculations, this smartphone is going to be attractively priced to lure budget customers to possess this device.
We are not going by what others are saying but by simple logic that the Moto G with 8GB is already selling in the range of Rs. 12,000 and after the arrival of Moto E, Flipkart may reintroduce various special offers such as exchange schemes etc to sell Moto G at reduced price. In the coming days, one can expect to have Moto G for around Rs. 10,000. In such a scenario, the price of Moto E can be deduced to be in the range of Rs. 9000 and even less. Since Moto E comes with less specifications compared to Moto G, our guess is that Moto E will be priced between Rs. 8000- 8500 to give tough competition to HTC Desire 210, upcoming Lumia 630 and various models of Karbonn,Lava and Micromax.
The Moto E is expected to have following features and specifications :
- 4.3-inch display
- 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 3G connectivity, Wi-Fi
- 5MP rear camera without Flash and no front facing shooter
- 1GB of RAM
- 4GB of internal memory
- microSD card support (up to 32GB)
- 1,980 mAh battery
If Moto E is go for sale for approximately Rs. 8000 then like Moto G, Flipkart will laugh all the way to the bank and it will create big problems for domestic handsets makers and will make life extremely difficult for entry level HTC Desire 210 and Lumia 630.
Let us wait till 13th May to see what emerges from the stable of Motorola.
