To increase its international footprint and cater to the fast growing mobile phone markets in Asia, Indian handsets vendor Spice Mobility has launched the affordable Android One smartphone internationally in Indonesia, Nepal and Sri Lanka. This smartphone was launched by Spice in September last year in India in association with Google as Spice Dream Uno Android One smartphone for the masses at an attractive price of Rs. 6,399. The company claims to have received huge response for this smartphone in India and anticipate good demand in international markets also.
In Indonesia, Spice Mobility has launched the Android One phones under the brand name Nexian Journey One, which will be the first brand in the world to launch Android One with the latest version of Android Lollipop 5.1. The latest version of the operating system offers improved battery life, enhanced security features and smarter notifications.
Spice Android One smartphone is Google referenced smartphone and feature a 4.5-inch IPS FWVGA (480×854 pixels) 218ppi display, and is powered by a Cortex A7 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor, ARM Mali-400MP2 GPU graphics, paired with 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which can be increased upto 32GB with the help of a microSD card.
This phone is equipped with a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and is capable of full-HD video capturing. It also houses a 2MP front-facing camera. It is packed with a 1700mAh battery. This is a Dual-SIM phones and for connectivity options, it offers 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, 3.5mm headset jack and GPS.
This smartphone comes with inbuilt FM radio and Google apps such as Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Search, and Google Translate will come pre-loaded on these phones.
